I'm just waiting to see if I pass out. Long story.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sigh ... I've given up all hope of becoming a vampire so, being a mere mortal, I keep my hair short

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

M's been helping me keep the undercut short, but the fall on top is getting all shaggy and shapeless. I'm a big fan of my barber (and he's been great about following protocol), but I'm still not comfortable going to him yet. I'm thisclose to trying to cut it myself.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Mine is a bit longer than shoulder length. I will not cut it shorter, no matter how ancient I get. With my nose, short hair makes me look like a baby parrot.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Same. I've gotten pretty good at maintaining the undercut with clippers but the length is becoming increasingly problematic. Especially since I've started swimming again this past month (oh hi reserved lap lanes I love you) - the chlorine and increased washing are not friends to my poor bleached & dyed ends.

I had a thought - if becoming a vampire means that your hair will remain that length for eternity, what happens if you've colored your hair? will it remain that color? or will you have to re-dye your hair periodically?

I'm mid S7 in my BtVS rewatch-with-teenager and with a sample size of Just Spike I conclude that bleached hair grows roots when vampires are sad or tired.

Good thing Angel never dyed his hair ... he'd be fighting roots for eternity.

I am hoping that turning will magically keep red/pink dye from fading as fast, because I'm not looking forward to goth upkeep for centuries.

Thrive to spite them

I need to get my hair cut, it's 3 different lengths since matthew shaved the back but left a fringe I usually just wear a headband at work to keep it out of my eyes. It's not long enough (yet) for a pony tail.. although I don't look good with a pony tail. But if it woudl get long enough I would wear that to work.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

I want to know if thinning hair is reversed when you're turned? If I didn't know I'd look like a mushroom within a month/have too much pretty hair jewelry to put aside, I'd be back to a pixie cut.
