Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

'Shindig'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I had to go home today because I got super over heated. Dizzy, flushed dry skin, I stopped sweating, had nausea, etc. my body temp didn't get up there but it's been an hour and my skin is still hot but I feel cold. I also started crying which was embarrassing. Today was not my day. And there was another fucking visit today the store manager's boss or boss's boss. Why for the love of god why??

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

ugh askye that sucks. I hope you're feeling better today.

I was incredibly lucky to get scheduled one day in the middle of three off days and a friend picked up for me so I got a much needed mini vacation.

Thrive to spite them

Thanks I am feeling mostly better. Still have a bit of a headache.

I keep tryint to think what I could have done differently but all I came up with is if I had had Powerade the first time I we my to cool off I may not have gotten as dehydrated and I could have hung on until my break, had more Powerade , spent the time cooling off, and then maybe had been able to hold on and just have been miserable but not so sick untill I got off.

Today's high is supposed to be 50 so I should be fine in my usual sleeveless top and pants.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I remember being in Spain and being surprised that Epiphany was celebrated like Christmas. Christmas day was very solemn and religious. Jan. 6th was a blowout! Parade of wisemen through the city, throwing candy for the kids. The locals would always ask a black sailor to play Balthazar for the float, since the small town was overwhelmingly caucasian.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ugh, this therapy thing is bullshit. You pay someone to tell you things you already know, and then you cry about them? Who invented this?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am lucky, I still have three visits before I have to pay! Thank you EAP! Mostly I tell her stuff I already know, I cry, and then she tells me wherein I am not actually broken and we talk about Good Omens.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thank you EAP! Mostly I tell her stuff I already know, I cry, and then she tells me wherein I am not actually broken and we talk about Good Omens.

I think Dana might prefer your therapist.

Does your therapist have a dog? I did get in a good amount of dog petting as he lolled at my feet.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Dogs are pretty great. Sophia's therapist sounds pretty great, too.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Mostly I tell her stuff I already know, I cry, and then she tells me wherein I am not actually broken and we talk about Good Omens.

Damn, I wish my therapist were more up on pop culture. Although we do both watch The Good Place, and we spent about 5 minutes talking about how jacked William Jackson Harper is after "Jeremy Bearimy."
