Thanks, guys, you make it better! Surgery was postponed until this afternoon. My sister is flying over. The next few weeks are going to suck. I want to go home but I won't be able to go upstairs to my bedroom!

My appointment with the hand surgeon went well. Got a cortisone injection in my hand. He said that it takes a couple days to really feel the effects of it. For some people, it helps, and then that's it. For others, it helps for a few weeks, but then it gets worse again, so I've got a follow-up appointment in a month to see how I'm doing. At that point, I might need a second shot. He said that about 70% of patients get better with the shots, but if I'm part of the other 30%, then I'll need surgery, but it's a pretty minor surgery.
