My brother just accepted a counseling position at an addiction recovery center. I am so fucking proud of him. I am continually in awe of how he's done the hard work of recovery from his own addiction and is using that to help people in the same position.
And I deliberately led with good news first, because my aunt passed away this morning. I am very, very sad. Our extended family is so small that this is a real blow.
I need to get some work done, but I just can't concentrate.
Steph, I'm so sorry. Try to take care of yourself.
Oh, Teppy. I'm so sorry. Anything under 80 is too young.
So sorry for your loss, Teppy
I'm self-soothing by grief-shopping at Sephora. I wish I didn't like Drunk Elephant products so much.
I guess I'll wait until Tim gets home to grief-buy a couch at IKEA. (We've needed a new couch for probably 2 years, and have budgeted for it, but we couldn't get our act together to shop for one. But we went to IKEA a couple of weekends ago, and actually really like the Ektorpp sofa, but we didn't want to just impulse purchase it that day. So we just need to officially agree that yup, this is the couch we want in Stately Beckmeyer Manor, and THEN I'll grief-buy a couch.)
I'm sorry for your loss, Teppy. Also, Go Bro!
Steph, I'm so sorry for your loss. Best wishes to your brother.
I am so sorry for your loss Steph
Oh, I'm so sorry, Teppy. But that's also wonderful news about your brother!
