I left messages with two different exterminators yesterday and the night before. One of them called back at 8 this morning, and the guy there talked to me, and I explained the issue, and he took my information and said that someone else would be calling me from their scheduling department. It's now almost 3, and nobody has called.
Also, after that phone call, I fell back asleep, and then woke up with a really bad stomach bug. So, this week just sucks.
I haven't seen or heard any more sign of the mouse, though. Though I have been avoiding the area where I first saw it.
I wish I could get a cat. But I'm allergic.
The exterminator is coming on Tuesday. And there are some mouse droppings by the couch that weren't there before, so it definitely has not gone away. So, guess I'm avoiding the living room until Tuesday.
If you go in, make a good deal of noise, that should scare it into hiding, at least. Just a thought.
Mice are a pain, we had them in our walls when we first moved into our house. The good news is we have exterminators come out, they dealt with them and sealed up the house and we have had no problems since then.
The other exterminator just called back, but they can't come until next week either, and they were kind of sketchy about what the prices would be, so I'm going with the first one.
I think I might stay at a hotel or something for the first couple of days after they put the traps down, unless they're really well hidden. I know that I can't handle seeing that.
Yuck, Hil/
My brother's students are getting their work in, so thanks for the vibes.Sometimes I think he takes it on himself a bit too much, but I know they are tightening standards for those schools, too.
Also, this may be kind of a crip-specific frustration, but my mother really has to stop acting like "we" have a cracked bit of skin on "our" ass. Like, really, especially since it's been enough days that she's a bigger pain than the spot itself. I wish she had a garden. Or a day job...or something else to cultivate besides me.It's hard too, cause this isn't really a situation like with an able-bodied teenager...where I could do it myself but maybe wouldn't take the fourteen steps the doctor recommended...I do need some help with it(and really wish I didn't for the first time in a while...the condo isn't big enough for full-on #MothersFromHell and it's like the more frustrated I feel the more she wants to show me how There she is...
The exterminator is here. I told him that I'm extremely phobic, and asked him to please just tell me as few details as possible that would let me avoid seeing or picturing anything. He seemed to understand. I'm waiting outside while he does whatever he's doing.
Yay! It should be straightforward for him to deal with any issues.
