Oh, God. Oh, God. My hair. My hair! The government gave me bad hair!

Cordelia ,'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I really really really really really would prefer that fights that start in other neighborhoods not be brought home.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I agree with JZ. I am not comfortable with this being brought in here.

Our wings are not tired

As someone with a shit covered rug from the same houseguest from many years ago I completely understand Fay.

I get the bad history and I saw some of the recent kerfuffle as it happened on FB and I understand the anger; I just don't feel comfortable with this exact way of dealing with it (maybe the group page over on FB is a better place to hash it out, or Bureaucracy?).

Always Anti-fascist!

I think "Lebowski" is awesome. Didn't really follow that convo on FB, not sure it belongs here either...

What is even happening?

The Big Lebowski, thumbs up or thumbs down?

I had read that it's either a love it or hate it film, and I finally got around to seeing it about a month ago, and it's one I think I could see again (which is rare for me). I loved it but Greg didn't. I think he found it kind of boring and incomprehensible.

I think I must have been sitting next to Greg. Actually, I just don't really remember much of it. I watched it, because it was name-checked in Veronica Mars.

I remember Jeff Daniels floating (???) and pee on a rug. There was bowling. The dude abides. That's about it.

I think dh loved it.

Thrive to spite them

I have an end date at my current store. At least it is what my store is preparing for...March 16th. Actually the 15th as I'm off the 16th. Makes me nervous but excited to have a better idea.

Matthew and I watched Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...Martin Freeman one. I'm listening to the audiobook in my commute right now. I've never seen this version and it is quite jarring compared to the book. Matthew hasn't read the book but I think I might see if he wants to listen to the audiobook sometime.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I've never been able to get through HG. Loved Lebowski--it was Jeff Bridges, Cindy, not Daniels.

Speaking of, my first encounter with Jeff Bridges was Starman. Naked (from the back). That and The Fabulous Baker Boys is my primo era Bridges.

Daniels was Flap in Terms of Endearment, then Disaster in Time, Speed, and Fly Away Home before he gained cred as an Acual Actor.

...then there's Bill Pullman....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

but I think I might see if he wants to listen to the audiobook sometime.

Originally it was a radio drama/comedy and it's very worthwhile to hear it in its original form.
