Actually not needing validation right now, but thank you.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Congratulations, Deena! And you too, Laura.

I have my crib, bought new for baby me. Both my kids used it, though I turned down the matching high chair that folded so that the base made a play table--too big for the small spaces we lived in. I didn't offer the crib for actual baby use, since it no longer meets safety guidelines, and at present, it's used as display. And oh my, yes, we had to buy a new mattress. The old one was long gone.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Glitter is gender neutral and ALWAYS an appropriate present for an infant. Always.

Our wings are not tired.

My ancient crib is smaller than the current ones, and likely "unsafe" although we made inside bumpers for it. The thing I liked about it was the one side went down so that when I put it up next to my bed it was just like a little side extension. That way I could just roll over and pull the baby to me for middle of the night nursing. When they were out of the crib they still slept with us until about 2 or something. Don't remember how long it was, until they found their room more fun than ours I suppose. My notion on the kids sleeping with us was that is was easier and calmer for all parties, and would naturally end at some point. And it did. Although if I am in bed when they come over to visit they still plop down on the bed to chat.

Summer afternoon naps in our bed, reading stories before and after, and sometimes instead, in our bed. What a luxury. So lucky not to have to work those first few years, though I was dying for adult conversation back then.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How on earth did anyone come up with baby gifts until 35 years ago? Oy.

Trudy!

I watched two movies tonight while I wrapped presents. I'm 80% done. A couple gifts are hiding from me, and I have to do bows tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

I had lots of leftover ornaments so I used them instead of bows. I should take some pictures because they are pretty.

Thrive to spite them

Instead of being at work I'm currently at CVS waiting for a minute clinic appointment.

I do not know what I did to my left shoulder/neck but I've been in pain for about 4 days and today it's been so bad that ibuprofen and heat pack barely helped .

I have presents to wrap and work to do. But I had trouble sitting up this morning because of the pain and once my other shoulder started hurting I gave up and decided to get help
