Spike: Or maybe Captain Forehead was feeling a little less special. Didn't like me crashing his exclusive club, another vampire with a soul in the world. Angel: You're not in the world, Casper.

'Just Rewards (2)'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Deena, did you get the video I emailed you the other day?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

No sj, not yet. I've been wrecked with a back injury, so just using the kindle to pop in here. I'll check my email and get back to you.

The kitties are still adorbs, though the kids have discovered that small animals can have sharp claws and are less enamored than they were.

No worries. I was having trouble sending it. So, I didn't know if it worked or not.

Thrive to spite them

I think work will be open tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out if I can get in. Based on what I'm seeing tonight even if the roads have been scraped they are still slick. I also have to walk down to the main road ( half a mile away) to judge that part.

I'm hoping work will be closed tomorrow it I don't think my decision will be that easy.

Rigjt now I'm leaning toward just calling out. If it's raining or snowing at all I wont feel so conflicted.

Askye, I am loving reading all your good news. Thanks for being here to share it. I'd lean toward calling out, too, if I were you.

sj, I did get the video and it's adorable. Thanks for sending it. Insent in return.

I need to go make dinner. I don't want to cook. Yuck, I say.

ltc has the Gashlycrumb Tinies memorized. So, we're either very good parents or very terrible parents.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Very good parents, obviously.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I have received a certain amount of vindication at work. Back in early October we suddenly started receiving HUNDREDS of "undeliverable" bounce-backs. All were ED, sexual type things and all came from/to some email addresses that no one else uses - they're ones we use for our mass emails (NOT about ED, mind you) and I monitor them for (1) legitimate bounce-backs and (2) people who hit reply.

After almost two months of my having to change my password every day, work with tech support - having them take over my computer to check on the messages - and back and forth, they FINALLY found out how the actual sender managed to get in. Turns out that when we got a new database, the department that uses it most kept the old database alive ... for reference? ... but that it has a feature that allows users to use it to send emails ... which the non-legitimate sender had done (it was someone in China, I think they said). So ... not only am I cleared of having done something to allow them in, it was someone else entirely.

The fact that it took them the better part of two months, the constant hassles for me (having tech support take over my computer and, at one point, taking it away for a few days AND having to delete hundreds of these messages, making sure not to delete the legitimate ones) annoys me ... but at least we know it WASN'T MY FAULT.
