Happy birthday, Hil! I hope the last few days off have given your lungs time to recover. Is your sister still visiting?
Thanks! I'm feeling somewhat better, though still coughing some. My sister went home on Sunday.
I called the wheelchair company about my chair not working, and they had me test a bunch of things, and then said that it seemed like the CPU was malfunctioning. It's still under warranty, so they're sending me a new one, which will supposedly get here sometime next week. So, until then, I'll be using my walker at work, I guess. I'm going to be exhausted.
Ugh. Sounds like an extended warranty might be a good plan!
Also, I discovered that one of my favorite Cinci restaurants (the one that we pretty much always go to when Buffistas are visiting) is on Door Dash, so I ordered a bunch of food from there, because I have no clean dishes and I have no energy and they have vegan pumpkin caramel cake. (I do have a dishwasher, so acquiring clean dishes is not too much of a hassle.) (I broke something like four plates and two bowls before I had my most recent hand surgery when I couldn't really grip stuff, and I haven't replaced them yet, so I'm running out of clean dishes pretty quickly.) (Oh! I can put those on my Chanukah wishlist, since my mom keeps bugging me to add more stuff, because she doesn't like the comic books and art supplies that I currently have on it. She'll be happier with kitchen stuff.)
Happy Birthday, Hil!!!
Also, Melt is on Door Dash? Nice! Pumpkin caramel cake sounds excellent.

Yep! So is Stone Bowl and a bunch of other places that I hadn't known delivered!
Update: pumpkin caramel cake was, in fact, excellent.
Birthday presents (from my parents and aunt) are the German edition of Rosetta Stone, a Professor McGonagall Pop figurine, and a flex nib fountain pen, so now I have fun stuff to play with, too.
Pumpkin caramel cake sounds super yummy.
Birthday cake wishes for Sumi today!
I've made an appointment with the acupuncture/nutritionist for a consultation next week. My DIL has been going to this place for a few weeks for her EDS pain and food issues and she is super happy with the results. Her food sensitivities report was interesting and surprising in some ways.
This is the next effort as a result of my philosophy of if what I am doing isn't working try something else.
Thank you!
I had a lovely mini-bundt chocolate lava cake with a scoop of peppermint ice cream for dessert at lunch.
Yummy.
Also - we're having our first serious snow storm today. Although Weather Underground stated that it will only snow until 3:15. We will see.
And 2 more books I had on hold came in - so if I wasn't going to be extraordinarily busy this weekend I would be well prepared for lots of reading under stacks of blankies, hot cocoa or tea at hand. . . alas, I have many things this weekend. (Mostly fun: meditation retreat, concert (singing in one) and then work on Sunday.)
I missed the excitement of having a patron expelled from the library. Based on the story I heard it sounds like somebody went off their meds. Very sad. But I'm glad it was before my shift started.
Yum indeed! Sounds like an excellent birthday weekend.
