So, I applied for a job last week. I very quickly got a "thanks, but no thanks" email. It was a stretch job, so I shrugged it off. Tonight, I opened up the cover letter that I had sent and discovered that not only did I forget to update the date (which was October 17, 2017), I misspelled "Counsel" in the first sentence. t facepalm
No wonder I got rejected with a quickness.
Oh dear, Vortex. Forgive me for my morning chuckle at that, but I could see me doing that so easily.
Every week when ltc goes out with my mother she comes home with something from the dollar store. This week she came home with a bunch of Mardi Gras style beads where the beads are skulls and bones.

I love it. One of Peanut's favorite toys is the skeleton cat we got from Cost Plus last year, and she got the "baby" skeleton cat from Target this year (same mold, cheaper material).
She promised me I can wear one of them on Halloween.

Also in job search news, I got a reach out a while back on Linked In for a job that I had applied for. Since I'm stepping up my job search, I replied and told him that I'd interviewed and been rejected, but would be happy to be reconsidered. He claims I did not apply for this particular position, Um, okay, you're the hiring person. I'll apply again.
Weird, vortex, but hey, good luck! I bet there's awesome jobs out here in Seattle. IJS. I know some amazon attorneys....
I actually had some dealings with them at my job, and they were pretty cool.
