Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I kind of think that's JZ's info to share? I dunno but it's weird to me for you to share it...?

Thrive to spite them

meara I'm having the same issue. I talked to the doctor about perimenopause she said that they could come as frequently as every 14 days and then kind of stop.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

A shorter cycle is the main reason I wanted an IUD. I mean, yes, also for birth control -- we don't need any more babies 'round here! But I really wanted not to have to worry about bleeding through my clothes every 22 days. Ugh.

I miss my Mirena for that reason alone. I didn't have a period for 10 years and it was fantastic. But now that it's back, it's pretty short, so it's tolerable.

Because books.

I have to say, menopause has been my favorite thing ever, aside from the hot flashes. Those I could live without. But as a trade-off for cramps and heavy bleeding? Manageable.

Herding cats for fun

Menopause rocks!

brillig

I think I seriouisly lucked out in the menopause stakes. I've had a couple of mild hot flashes--a desperate need for a fan as opposed to dripping in sweat--but other than that it's been little more than a "Gone Fishin'" sign hung up on my uterus.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I too, have the shorter cycles, even more cramps thing. If it would stop, that would be great, but these just seems constant (even though I know it is not.)

Well, fuck me. I just saw the horrible mom across the street hit all 3 of her children (1 at a time) with a leather belt on the front porch. So I called 911. The dispatcher said the police officers would want to talk to me first, which is fine, but it's going to be pretty clear to Garbage Mom that I'm the one who called the police. But I guess I don't care about what she thinks, because Jesus Christ, you don't beat your children. And getting hit with a leather belt really fucking hurts. The little girls had short little uniform skirts on, with bare legs, and she hit them on the legs.

Fuck that woman. I hope she burns in hell.

What was weird was that the dispatcher asked "Was this normal discipline, or something else?" And I get that the dispatcher probably meant, was she beating the absolute shit out of the kids, or did she just ("just") hit them once?

But come on. Physically striking your children is not "normal" discipline, and fuck anyone who thinks so.
