With sj on creamsicles. Really I don't have a big sweet tooth and just seeing them makes me tremble a bit.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have a big sweet tooth, but I don't enjoy the combination of citrus and dairy.
Creamsicle is the variation I go for when we do ice cream floats. Yum!
My ice cream tale from yesterday actually involves 2 different ice creams, from 2 different places. I ran to the grocery store b/c we were out of a few things, and I was really craving sorbet or sherbet. But the freezer section confronted me with a Graeter's limited edition ice cream called Chunky Chunky Hippo, in honor of Fiona the hippo. It's toffee ice cream with roasted, salted peanuts and milk chocolate caramel truffles. Plus part of the proceeds go to the Zoo. So how could I pass that up? It's hanging out happily in our freezer right now.
But on my way home from Hil's I realized that no, what I still really wanted was a fruity sorbet or sherbet. So I stopped at UDF (convenience/ice cream store) and got a scoop of orange sherbet. It was exactly what I wanted. Yum. (Though I have no doubt I'll get to the Chunky Chunky Hippo in due time.)
I just ordered a 6-pack from Graeters for DH for Father's Day. Don't tell him it's mostly so I get to eat the two pints of Chunky Hippo.
^^^^ Fiona approves this message.
What other flavors did you get?
Dark chocolate brownie and peanut butter chocolate chip. So I don't think he'll be mad.
One year at a family party with multiple birthdays to celebrate, someone brought along multiple pints of Graeter's. After a while, we realized we hadn't seen my grandpa in some time. He had taken the pint of peanut butter chocolate chip and a spoon to the back porch where he could devour it undisturbed. (I *think* we caught him before he ate the whole thing, but maybe not. His love of ice cream was legendary.)
Oh super yum! Anything that involves chocolate or peanut butter is a win in my book.
It is mango harvest time here and I am trying to keep up with scooping them out and freezing the pulp. After I have a bunch I'll make chutney, but I know a few that will gladly consume it in frozen chunks too.
Mango smoothie or lassi = awesomesauce.
