The reason I'm not teaching this summer is because last semester was really stressful and I needed a break. So much for that.
Well, once I finish up with these appointments and clean the apartment, I'll be leaving town. Maybe then my stress levels will decrease.
Sorry to hear about the anxiety, Hil, please go easy on yourself
My doctor gave me super-Advil (can't remember the actual chemical but it's one of like three prescription painkillers I can take without breaking out into hives or throwing up) and steroid cream and OH MY GOD YOU GUYS DRUGS ARE MAGICAL. Like, I'm not pain-free, but it's down from an 8 to more like a 3 and I can DEFINITELY TOLERATE WEARING CLOTHES.
Hello, relief! Very happy for you, Jess.
So pleased to hear that, Jess!
Hil, I hope this summer is exactly the recharge you need!
Yay good drugs, Jess!
I cleaned up most of my bedroom, and I sent the doctor a message asking whether my additional blood test results are back yet. Still need to call the psychiatrist about missing the appointment yesterday.
OK, called the psychiatrist and left a message.
Good girl! I need to do some of that calling stuff since my doctor would like to see me take a few tests. I will.
Did get blood work back. Again, borderline girl. Like probably 20 years at this level or a bit lower. A1C at 5.7% which is exactly on the borderline of PRE diabetes, and glucose of 109, which some doctors call borderline too, while some say 100 and others 129. Note to self, no cookies the day before testing! My neighbor brought me some chocolate cookies his sister sent him from Peru and it would have been super rude not to eat some, right? Still no cholesterol results which I was more worried about than the sugar since I would instantly recognize symptoms if my sugar was out of whack.
In the biz story on my labs! I knew instantly that my lab results were in because part of my job is to manually file labs that don't file automatically because the name or DOB is wrong. I do this for all my customers, not just my doctor. Someone on the lab order had a typo in my last name so mine bounced out to be mapped. Ha! I saw them before the doctor.
