Ugh, Hil. I'm sorry. That's such a pain. Please don't overdo it.
ltc's lesson in consequences today: if you're completely unhelpful when out with Momma and Momma therefore cannot go to the market, there will continue to be no strawberries in the house. ION, she really doesn't like the word consequences.
I also seem to have volunteered myself to manage a Facebook group for all the cousins on one side of the family. (My great-grandmother was one of 12 children, and nine of them had children of their own. There are a lot of cousins by this point.)
When my landlord was here, he also kept asking me about where I was going this summer, and I didn't really feel like talking about it, so I kept giving answers like, "A bunch of different places," but he kept asking more and more detailed questions. It was annoying.
I hear you, Jess, meeting people is one thing, finding actual friends is hard
(The text is just my name and contact info on one side and "Hello new friend!" on the back. But, um.)
Is that a somethingpositive reference?
My family tree on my computer won't sync with the one online, and I've stumped a tech support person. This is a fairly minor thing -- I know that there will be some way to fix it, once we figure it out -- but it's just adding to the too many things causing anxiety this week.
I kind of feel like I'd be more comfortable if I asked a friend to come over on the day when the landlord is doing his inspection, and just like, be here watching a movie with me or something when he comes, because he kind of intimidates me, but I'm pretty sure that he won't actually tell me what time he'll be coming.

If you can get him to commit to a time (or even a time frame, like 12-4 or whatever), I'll come over. The only part of my week (every week, I mean) that's booked is Thursday morning from 10 to 11, for therapy. The rest of my week is flexible.

Thanks. I really appreciate it.
Doesn't he legally have to give you 24 hours notice?

Just let me know. And, honestly, I can probably come over even if it's last-minute notice, even if I have to bring my work over.
