I still have the "scar" from the ring I got married with over thirty years ago. I had to take it off when a cat claw caught it and the scratch got infected, and by the time it healed up, the finger had happily expanded to take up the space. That was ten years after we got married, and I still have two lines circling that finger. They please me.

Exciting night! Very drunk young woman (who we did not know) pounded on our door in the pouring rain and we took care of her best we could till we got in touch with her very worried friends. Glad it's over, AND that I didn't need to call 911.
