I edited this post four times trying to get the leading asterisk. This will have to do.
I just ate an entire pint of Talenti Southern Butter Pecan ice cream. I have no regrets. It was delicious. I'm calling it dinner.
Book ,'Objects In Space'
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And the Lord of Stately Beckmeyer Manor will get to fiddle with stuff!
I think you should install a security camera above your front door. Because packages get stolen and whatnot. If her actions get recorded by your security camera, well, unfortunately that couldn't be avoided.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Teppy, I'm sorry. I remember how distressing it was with my upstairs neighbor and her daughter always fighting. I thought when I finally called the cops that DCF would get involved, but it never happened.
My therapist said I can call CPS and tell them what happened, including that the police came, and they can decide whether to proceed. And otherwise, I'll just continue to keep an eye on them.
Teppy- I am glad for that little boy that you are there to intervene. I am both horrified and saddened that you and he have this experience in common & I love the security camera idea.
My parents never physically abused us, but my mom was pretty adept at the verbal abuse. Seeing the mom across the street kick her son actually wasn't more upsetting than hearing her yell horrible things at him. It's the yelling that triggers the shit out of me, and she does it all the damn time.
That sounded like a pretty traumatic situation, Steph. I'm sorry you ended up being a witness to it.
Made an appointment for physical in a few weeks. Mostly to check hormones.
The problem I mentioned before is slightly better. Still frustrating but slightly better
I had an appointment with my rheumatologist this morning. We talked about how she's taking classes about medical marijuana, and that, once it becomes available legally in Ohio (supposedly September), we'll discuss whether it's a good option for me to try it and try to cut back on opioids. And then I got home and saw Sessions' new statement about enforcing federal marijuana laws, and I'm pissed off. And also achy, because I was tired right after my appointment (I also had to have x-rays), and thought, "I'll go home and rest for a while, then go to CVS to get my prescription," but of course, once I'd gotten inside, I did not go out again in the single-digit weather.
Ugh. And I need to make another appointment with the foot and ankle doctor to get new ankle braces made (probably both ankles now, after just wearing it on one ankle for years), and then also do PT, and go to the hand surgeon, and, ugh. Taking care of myself is a lot of work.
