When I was in college, I shared an apartment with my friend Sarah. We had a guy named Burt living with us. He slept and paid rent elsewhere, but he did not get along well with his roommate, so he would spend most of his not-in-class, not-at-work time with us. It was so comfortable to have Burt around because he was a master of companionable silence.

I'm tired. Work was long and I think someone called out and they had the other shoe Dept person trying to sign people you for credit cards in the front of the store so I was alone in shoes . Besides helping customers I also needed to switch the place of some sale boots and clearance, finish setting the sale for 2 tables of shoes (one of which has enough shoes for a 3rd table), something else , and pull paper out of the boxes of boots.also clearance shoes (it hadn't been done for all shoes), make 6 display shoes (tag them and the boxes and out the boxes out) , and out out a half a box of jewelry.

We had some things buy 1 get 2 free and other good sales so people were buying lots of stuf. Also trying on shoes. I think one lady tried on 8 different styles in 2 sizes.

I got help and the most important stuff got done and the customers were happy and nice. Tomorrow is me and mom for food and working from 5 pm to 1 am.

Moving the clearance stuff around was a lot of squatting. I think I did the equivalent of 100 . My hips and left knee are killing me. I took a hot shower, did some stretches, put my knee brace on and took alieve. We can wear sneakers tomorrow thankfully.

I am still thankful for each and every one of you, even though I'm seldom here these days.

It looks like my son & GF may be buying a house. Just a couple blocks from her parents. (they are both such serious home bodies) If so we may take over their apartment so we can empty our house for sale. We'll see.

Do chin hairs grow faster than head hairs? Because it seems I'm pulling one-inch hairs out of my chin far more often than I'm getting a hair cut. Nice, light-catching, silver-white hairs.

Any ~ma I could have for my friends 3 year old, please. They were headed home after the holidays and had to stop because he became very ill. He's in the hospital now with some type of infection in his lymph nodes and may need surgery.
