I started taking the all day, all the time, for 10 days, antibiotic this evening. Hoping for the best with the sinus infection of stealth.
Man. Eliminating the irritants can be so irritating.
Just recently, my blood pressure, which has always been freakishly low, shot up to the 130s and my heart got all fluttery.
My move was to cut out extra salt...which has been the joy of my entire life. Not even kidding. And, it seems to be working. Bleh. I'm trying not to think about it being forever, but I'm wondering if being post-the big M means that this is the case.
Steph, I hope your process is an easy one.
Burgers are fine, coffee, tea, chocolate, and wine were the big ones I remember.
Man, just once I want to be told "You have to cut out asparagus! And most booze is okay, but avoid gin like the plague." Because I would be ON IT.
All the asparagus and gin for me!
I just took four Advil, which I'm sure my stomach will object to, but I'm rationing the real painkillers.
I'm trying to cut way down on the carbs, which completely blows. Although, as I told my friend, it has to be better than my previous plan of just shoving everything in my cakehole.
It is difficult to eat Thai food without rice.
My trigger thumb came back, and I made an appointment with the hand surgeon, but he can't see me until October 3, so I guess I'm just supposed to deal with excruciating pain and limited use of my right hand until then? Oh, and three of my four classes have midterms this week that I need to grade.
I ordered in spaghetti with marinara, because I'm exhausted and everything hurts I can't pick things up well enough to cook safely, and spaghetti was what I wanted.
This is the fourth week of class. Graphing calculators have been used in class, and required for doing the homework problems, since day 1. A student emailed me asking how to do one of the sample problems for the exam. I said to use the definite integral function on the calculator. She replied, "Is that a function on a graphing calculator? I don't have one of those." The exam is tomorrow.
I just can't.
Nope, you sure can't.
Do anything for her at this point, that is.
She replied, "Is that a function on a graphing calculator? I don't have one of those." The exam is tomorrow.
Tomorrow's gonna suck for her. But then, sometimes a knock like that can wake students up to the idea that they are now adults, with responsibility for meeting their educational requirements.
Burgers are fine, coffee, tea, chocolate, and wine were the big ones I remember.
I am so screwed since burgers are the only thing on that list I don't eat.
Ugh, I'm sorry for both the physical pain and the painfully idiotic students.
Ugh, Hil. On both the student and trigger thumb issue. I know the thumb pain, went through that and then surgery years ago. It always pissed me off that my stupid thumb was making it so hard to so simple things.
In puppies love carrots news, Jessy has been dropped off at the rescue in prep for her surgery tomorrow. Now I have a chance to see how Crowley and Jack interact on their own and tomorrow I'll have Crowley without Jack. I'm headed straight for a foster fail already. He is such a love bug. So far he and Jack have chased around a bit and now they are both asleep.
