I hope it works out Suzi. With the grades and the foster pups meting Noodle and Jack.
So I was sleep deprived most of the day (this happens when E sleeps over) and I went to the combo birthday party and also I guess it was kind of like a farewell party for M's niece who is leaving for Air Force bootcamp next week. She also got engaged but this wasn't really an engagement party. I have no idea how many people were there it was kind of hard for me to keep track but at one point ther were about 15 adults and a dozen kids. Not all in the same room and some weren't there the whole time but he has a brother and a sister and 6 nieces and nephews. He and his family are much more outgoing than mine too. Everyone was nice but I had to find some quiet places a few times. M was really cool with it and checked in.
And in Hurricane news most of the schools around here except our county are closed. Don't know if they will change their mind but the forecast is for strong wind gusts and rain tomorrow and Tuesday
I hope they close tomorrow, askye. And I'm glad you are taking care of yourself, finding the quite when you need it and then re-engaging.
Noodle came in my office while Kelly took the dogs out to potty. She was still here when they came back up, so first introductions have happened, with a fair bit of hissing and barking. Next hurdle will be seeing if the dogs can fit under my bed, which is where she hides usually. I do have a crate for them to sleep in, so she will have peace during the night and I'm working on getting a baby gate for my door, so when the dogs have the run of the house, she can have my room.
oh and there is an yarn and art supply store that opened up and they have stitch n bitch nights as well as classes. So I checked it out yesterday and I'm going to try to do one of the drop in stitch n bitch things.
I'm going to try to do one of the drop in stitch n bitch things.
Oh...I'd love to do that. Go...have a blast. For me, it is going on the list of "after I graduate" stuff.
Puppies like carrots.
CJ just got home from work, came in my office and flopped on the floor, face done. He then became the bottom layer of a puppy pile. Crowley and Jessy jumped all over him, trying to get him to turn over. He giggled, which was a delightful sound to hear from my 21 year old child man. When he finally sat up, Crowley demanded his attention while Jessy came to me for attention. He thinks I should adopt Crowley. We will see, we will see.
Going to get my innards scoped. Wish me an ulcer!
No, seriously. Because that's a definitive diagnosis that's easy to treat. So, go Team Ulcer!
Also, when I am finished, I am going to EAT THE WORLD. Holy moly, I am starving.
Catching up after a VERY FULL weekend:
Brenda, that's so awesome! I'm so pleased for you!
askye, you too! Sounds like you're making so much progress!
Suzi, sounds like you also had a VERY FULL weekend. Glad things are coming together.
Scope-ma, Steph!
