Health~ma for your dad, askye.
My step-dad needs poop~ma. He came through his bypass surgery incredibly well, and it was super bad blockages in nasty places. Surgeon said it had been some time since he had one that bad. His recovery has been awesome, except he hasn't managed the whole bowel movement part. Since last Monday. I think part of it was his rejecting pain meds because he "doesn't need them", but instead he is avoiding at least sub-consciously doing stuff he knows is going to hurt. They finally moved him out of ICU today, but now he is getting an x-ray to make sure he doesn't have an obstruction causing this, which would not be good. He has been eating regular big meals 3 times a day since the day after surgery, so at this point he is mighty uncomfortable, and full of "it".

Well, that was quick! Poop happened! Poor guy was so miserable. He wouldn't even let us visit today.
A proud man with poop issues prefers to be alone.
That was probably all that was keeping him from being released to rehab. What a relief!
Thank goodness for good poop! And, excellent recovery news!
I can't imagine having that kind of surgery and eating the next day.

Can I have some of that health~ma? I'm headed to the ER. I've been running a fever for the last few days and am having pain in my left side. The doctor on call wants me to go to the ER.

Thanks. I'm checked in at the ER. Only one person ahead of me. It's been a constant few months of getting nibbled to death by medical stuff. I'm still coughing from the cold I got right before ltc's birthday party last week.
