It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My sleep schedule is all screwed up, and I'm hurting and I don't have any pain meds. I'm considering making ramen at 1:22 AM, because my brain seems to think this will help somehow.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wish I could pass on leftover pain pills from my surgery to those of you who need them so much. (Pretty sure it's a felony, though.)

I'd listen to the brain in this instance. I hope you were able to sleep after the carb load.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Terrible nights sleep for both myself and ltc. The teenage relatives I have helping out on Tuesday showed up a half hour early. So of course I was unshowered and uncaffeinated. Good thing my kid is the type that I can hand to other people she doesn't know very well and she's happy as a clam.

When my son was stroller age my teenage nephew used to love to get him from me and take him to the mall because he was a chick magnet.

They adore her. She miserable again this morning because of stupid molars but they're snuggling her and watching Sesame, which I usually don't allow in the morning. I called the doctor because she doesn't want to eat and gave her some Motrin at the nurse's suggestion.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I see our toddlers are twins in molar misery. Peanut is also stuffed up again because of daycare crud, so last night was not a good night for us, either.

Ugh, sorry Juliana. Molars suck. ltc has only been sick a couple times in her life, but I'm expecting her to catch everything when she starts school in September.

Because books.

Aw, sleepless nights with unhappy toddlers are no fun. Sorry, moms.

When my son was stroller age my teenage nephew used to love to get him from me and take him to the mall because he was a chick magnet.

Heh. And not wrong.

how do people with chronic pain do this?

The amount of painkillers my mom takes daily -- and has for years and years, just to function -- would probably knock out a football player. But between the lupus and the rest of her joint issues, plus age, she literally can't walk without them. And now, of course, just getting her regular prescription is taking special letters to insurance, etc.

Hubby always said it took training to get to the level he was on. And he mentioned Steven Tyler's statement that the kids ruined drugs and rock n roll.
