A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2016: We know the world didn't end, because, check it out!

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.

Go away, 2016.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm glad you liked the card, amyth.

I didn't do the Secret Santa because Christmas overwhelms me, but if anyone wants to be added to my mailing list for cards next year or possible random gifties at other times of the year, send me your meat space address to my profile addy.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have arrived in Arizona, where my SS present(s?) are, but have been told that, since they are wrapped, I am not allowed to open them until Christmas.

I protested, but this is How Things Are Done Here.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I got a lovely package from my Secret Santa with an adorable mug (with a handle shaped like an 'A'!) and some gunpowder green tea. Thank you so much, Secret Santa!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I got a lovely note from my Santa that they made a donation in my name to Open Table, an organization in Nashville that provides food and shelter to the homeless. Thank you for supporting them! It means a lot to me. I have a friend who volunteers with them, and I'm hoping one day soon I'll be able to do the same. And re: the second part of your message, I'm out of town but will be home on Wednesday, so I look forward to seeing what you sent! Thanks, Santa!

Lois, I got some sort of magazine discount email that says it's from you--is that true or is it spam? I hesitate to click on it.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I got stuff from Suzi! I managed to follow the "do not open till Christmas" directions by accident (well, host fiat) , but there's gryffindor sock yarn and chocolate honey and rose petal jelly and candy! So much yummy chocolate. We had the dark chocolate with ginger, cinnamon, and roasted pepitas, which was universally acclaimed! I am looking forward to the sea salt caramel bar. The crochet Colorado flag will be going up at home, and I think the sparkly ornament will be going in a window!

Thanks!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You are welcome. I'm glad you are enjoying the treats. There should have been a separate package with something for your hair.
