'Not Fade Away'
Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Except Cisco had no idea where they were.
He could have vibed them.
That being said, I realize the concern was more getting back home in time to save Kara, vs getting home at all. The emphasis in the dialogue (aside from Alex) seemed to be more on the latter.
It's also interesting that Earth-X required all this massive infrastructure to create a portal, while Kara carries around a portal generator in her pocket.
Cisco made Kara's generator, and he has access to lotsa top flight tech. The Earth-X portal was built by that group of rebels that got wiped out first thing, so maybe they built it with what they could scrounge.
He could have vibed them.
Not while he was locked up in the pipeline.
Cisco having the power to open portals without technology might have given him a lot of insight about how to most efficiently build machinery to duplicate that effect as well.
That whole bit with them being on Earth-X was....not well done by the writers. Really, they're going to just take off without a thought to helping the rest of the people in the camp they were in, or maybe, I dunno, overthrowing the Nazis? Some heroes. (Though I will admit to being pretty terrified by SturmbannFuehrer Lance. Nicely done, Blackthorne)
Remembering the Olicity high I was on in Arrow 409, that was almost immediately crushed to bits by Darhk and fucking Little Drummer Boy...I am SO NERVOUS for next week's Arrow.
Legends of Tomorrow doesn't usually make a big deal about Sara's sexuality, IMO. She generally runs around being awesome and sometimes makes out with ladies in the past or the future.
Victor Garber waaaaaah!
(Yes, I'm a week behind on the shows.)
All I can say is I hope this plot development was because Garber wanted to move on to doing something else.
He was (is?) in Hello Dolly this year with Bette Midler.
Edit: My mistake, he's joining it in January when Bernadette Peters takes over.
Anyone watch premiere of The Magicians last night? There was an amusing pop culture reference section that mentioned Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, GoT, Gossip Girl, and prob others I'm forgetting. Of course it was a convo between Eliot and Margo.
Apparently the rumoured Snowpiercer reboot as a TV series has been picked up by TNT: [link]
I remain skeptical re. how the concept could work as a series, but with Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connolly on board, I'm tentatively in. Plus I still have a massive amount of goodwill toward Josh Friedman for Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and am curious to see what he will do with the premise.
