Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

He's not on Legends of Tomorrow anymore?

I assume his role here was just a guest spot for the pilot.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

So, I binged S1 of Wynona Earp over the past week. (I went looking for Shadowhunters and got distracted.) It's scratching a Supernatural-style itch, with more surviving women and PoC. (My understanding of Supernatural ends with S3, so that may have changed.) Has anyone else here been watching it?

Wow. I didn't know any of that about Seth Macfarlane.

Sigh.

I'm out.

I really liked the first season of Wynona Earp...even though I ffed through some of the more intense stuff. I'm looking forward to the second season when it hits netflix.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I had heard that about Seth MacFarlane but I watched the first bit of The Orville, just in case. The whole "loveable misbehaving but good at heart/competent and deserves to be rewarded" bit killed it for me.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I don't recall seeing anything overtly rapey, but it got to the point where the regular jokes on Family Guy were so abusive in tone that it triggered me.

I was leery because of McFarlane, but thought I'd try since people here liked it. It's on the DVR now, guess I'll just be prepared to delete at the first sign of McFarlane-ness.

I realized this morning that I was drawn in by the Trek love, and Galaxy Quest, of course.

A real life verification of the power of beer-goggles. And I don't drink!

Thrive to spite them

I am going to watch it again. I don't like McFarlane and it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I was really expecting something like Family Guy in Space.

Maybe I just want something that is space and light hearted and I am overlooking things.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Well, this doesn't bode well: CBS has put an embargo on Star Trek: Discovery reviews prior to it airing. [link]
