Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Epic, it’s on Max if you have that.

Thrive to spite them

I really liked Rose McIver in iZombie and it's nice to see her again another show.

It seems like it's just a fluffy little show and then it has moments like Thor singing to Hetty.

I thought the world building rules about possession were well done amd a good way to keep the ghosts isolated and secret.

Oh, cool! Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. But IIRC, they're planning to air it here soon (as a consequence of the strike?), so I should be able to catch it then, since I still have regular cable.

This, and Utkarsh Ambudkar (who I'm fond of from Pitch Perfect ), are why I tuned in to what, on the face of it, sounded like a dumb premise. The charming is why I've stuck around!

Compassionately intolerant

I had a great conversation with someone about Strange New Worlds this morning! I was talking about how much I loved Hemmer and that his character felt like a mashup of Bones & Scott with a dash of Chekov to me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm trying to figure out where I can access British Ghosts. I expect I'll enjoy it if I see more than a 2 minute clip. I know I like the female lead (even though I can't remember what I know her from).

I haven't watched either Ghosts myself, but is that Nurse Barbara from Call the Midwife? (Also Bonnie on recent Grantchester, but she will always be Barbara to me.)

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Haven't seen CTM, but yes, that's Charlotte Ritchie.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I haven't seen the Brit version, but the American Ghosts is delightful.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Just here to put in a plug for the unabashedly, ridiculously delightful Renegade Nell on Disney Plus. I binged all eight episodes in two days. Great writing, making a bizarre premise tons of fun, and the protagonist is played by the pitch-perfect Irish actress Louisa Harland, who I first fell in love with as the wonderfully weird Orla on Derry Girls. It shouldn't be as good as it is. Bonus: Lots of white guys complaining about how the premise of a woman being in a war and becoming a highwaywoman is absurd while completely ignoring the pixie named Billy Blind who gives her super fighting powers.
