S2 of The Expanse feels more like a SyFy show than S1 did, I think because there is some more humor mixed in with the bleak.

Trying to remember how I felt about the early episodes, I think it took a while to really grab me. Miller was never my favorite, no.
I remember not being sure if I liked the show for itself or if I was projecting my love for the books onto it, until S3 when it suddenly got AMAZING.
Avasarala is the fucking greatest, and Shoreh Aghdashloo does an amazing job with her.
It was TCG's pick. So, I have no choice but to stick with it because it was his turn to pick a show, but I am starting to enjoy it more.
Ftr he makes it through half of S2 and actually became interesting to me right toward the end.
