I would watch that collaboration.
Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Utter fabulosity.
Okay, I did watch last night's Arrow, and...I just don't know. The flashforwards aren't interesting to me because William isn't interesting to me (though I like Roy).
I do enjoy seeing Vinnie Jones, though, so there's that.
Not sure how I feel about the Stenza being made into a season-sized threat. The main thing I liked about Tim Shaw in the opener is just how rubbish he was. He's cheating at a leadership exam that asks whether a fully armed and armoured soldier can overpower a single unprotected civilian. The Daleks they are not!
Agree. I get that Chibnall is really into the "everything is NEW!" thing, but there's a reason those classic enemies keep coming back.
The TARDIS' new look is pretty epic.
Waitaminute, Sabrina lives in Greendale?
Some other thoughts about Doctor Who this week. These are not complaints so much as maybe lost opportunities:
- It didn't really feel that much like a race, as everyone was travelling together. They could've kept the cast split into two groups for longer and have them actually compete. (Plus, more opportunity for Yaz to get some lines.)
- Some ideas in there that could have been developed further. (e.g. the TARDIS as a monument; the microbes in the water, especially on a desert planet; if this is a regular race, is there an audience?)
- And of course the big one: they really should have titled this ep "Doctor Who and the Bedsheets of Death".
"Doctor Who and the Angry Rags"
"Doctor Who and the Angry Rags"
Ooh, I like that one. Maybe for the season finale we'll get "Doctor Who and the Stroppy Baggage".
"Doctor Who and the Biscuits that Went a Bit Off"
