ARGH. I have a pair of dance boots, and I really like the idea (boots, instead of sandals, which I also have, but are not good when you're scared people will step on your toes). But the pair I have have stretched out way too much and if I try to dance in them for very long my feet cramp up trying to keep them on (that's even after I added an insole and wear thick socks!). I was at a convention all weekend, and the vendor was there, but I had tried on a different vendor's boots at a con about a month ago, and was thinking I'd buy those instead. At the time I wasn't sure, and they didn't have my size in stock anyway (I tried on a different style in my size, and around my size in the style I wanted, so I was pretty sure which fit) so I took a card with the info on it and figured I'd decide later.
Today I decide I will go online and buy a new pair, and I find the card...and it has the salesperson's name on it but I SWEAR I thought he'd also written the style/size on it, and it's not there! WTF. Now I have no idea what size to order (and since it can take a while for them to even ship, and you have to pay return shipping, it would take months and extra $$ if I got the wrong size!). But I have no idea where else they will be and I won't be at any more conventions until the end of May. At which point I"d hoped to have new boots. ARRRRRGH.
Oh, man, how disappointing, meara!
I have filed my taxes. Yay. I should probably be more enthusiastic because I'm getting a refund, but I'm just tired and relieved to be done with it.
I just remembered I have to go to H&R to sign my tax returns tonight after we put the kids to bed. I'm like 70% sure the guy made a mistake, but at this point I don't want to deal with him any more so I think we'll just pay what he says and then file an amended return if it turns out I'm right and we're owed money back.
Timelies all!
I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again in the future: having your birthday during Passover sucks.
(Sorry, I'm tired and the weekend visit from my folks used all my cope.)
What a pain, but yay amended return, I guess. If he did make a mistake can you get whatever you paid him, back?
...I'm very tempted to numberslut for 10K, btw, but am not going to.
I did the tax returns for us, and my son today. What a pain. I had to do it a half dozen different ways to see how it came out best. It was just exhausting.

I can see how this could be a recurring theme.

Oh, that's annoying!

That is also annoying!

That is ALSO annoying! But happy birthday, anyway? Have a cake on Wednesday?

I hope so! (And next year I will plan ahead and find an accountant who understands tech company salaries and freelancers. This guy is incredibly sweet, but he was not prepared for our paperwork.)
I bought myself a couple bathing suits as a reward for doing these very annoying tax returns.
