Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ugh. One of my FiL's siblings has started some shit, saying that he has almost no clothes at the skilled nursing facility and that's completely irresponsible of his children to not meet his needs.

All she needed to do was actually ASK one of us what the deal is, instead of shitposting about it. My FiL will only wear khakis, and -- seriously -- he only owns 2 pairs. (He says he only needs 2 pairs because he can wear one while the other is in the wash.) We got him some sweatpants for PT, but he hates them and only wants to wear his khakis.

Nobody realized he only owns 2 pairs of khakis until now, since he had been living at home and (allegedly) doing his own laundry. (Because who counts their parents' articles of clothing when they visit their parents in the parent's own home?) So we've ordered more pants from L.L. Bean, but they're not here yet.

All of which would have been easy enough to find out by asking a couple of questions, instead of shitposting about it to the rest of the family. (I really want to ask this aunt if *her* kids know how many pairs of pants she owns, and if they don't, why she's so tolerant of her kids' "irresponsible" behavior.)

Oh man, Teppy. That sucks.

Mondays are stupid. I want to go back to bed.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

For the record, I have no idea how many pairs of pants my parents or grandparents have. That would be a weird thing to know about someone you weren't living with.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah. I often help dress Dad when Mom's away and I have no idea of the exact contents of his wardrobe. Just that he's switched from jeans to sweatpants at home because they're easier for him to pull back up when he uses the restroom.

Our wings are not tired.

My dad had multiple sets of the exact color and style of pants. That was all he wore. I have no idea whether he had one pair, or 30. Also, the relatives suck and Tim and his sibs don't need that bullshit.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That is some devious passive-aggressive bullshit, Teppy.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well, in your shoes I might wait until the package from LL Bean arrives, then go to the woman's children and say, "So how many pairs of pants does your mother own that fit her and are not stained? I'm asking this because I don't want you suprised when when you are called to account for them."

t /not helping.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I mean, to give this aunt a tiny benefit of the doubt, it's 99% probable that she asked Jack why he didn't have more clothes in his room* and 110% probable that he answered "Well...I don't know. They should be there!" rather than saying "I only own 2 pairs of pants and both are here." His thought processes are no longer logical or linear, so it's likely that whatever he answered ended up making this aunt think that all 3 sons are neglectful.**

*(Though why she was looking in his dresser drawers is beyond me. SUPER nosy.)

**(Though, again, that could have been cleared up with one phone call and some simple questions, instead of shitposting.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, Tep, I'm sorry. Kinda on trend of your FiL to have such a minimalist wardrobe, though. If only he'd been taking pictures of his empty closet and posting to Instagram!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah! Tell that PITA that it's a capsule wardrobe.
