Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I quit drinking because even a little alcohol doesn't play well with my antidepressant, and the AD treats me better.

Smoke pot!

I was saddened to learn that pot can depress the effectiveness of antidepressants. I mean, hypothetically I'd be sad if I were in that situation.

But some strains of medicinal pot are really good for anxiety and insomnia. That's what I've heard, anyway.

He is hoping business will pick up again later so we can go back to our old salaries. It sounds like I'm in no danger of losing my job anytime soon.

This happened at my company in 2009 when our industry imploded. We managed to hold on until things got better (helped by *lots* of our competition going under) and salaries could return to normal. I mainly felt bad that the recently hired production assistant got laid off just a few months after we poached him from the newspaper industry, but we did send some freelance work his way when we could, and I was prepared to give glowing references if he needed them.

Buggy whip manufacturers may be a dying industry, but there are still buggies, and they still need whips, so the last whip maker standing has the whole market. (Plus there are exciting non-buggy markets to explore.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It sounds like you are positioned well for a difficult situation, tommyrot. Good luck!

I am discouraged about the general state of my life and don't know what to eat for lunch. Having something for the latter would probably improve my outlook on the former.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds right, -t.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am done and home.

Before I got home, I asked mac if he wanted to go out for lunch, he said no. Then he asked if he could go over to friend's house, I said sure. So I run an errand and get myself some take out and I get home, he is still here and has he eaten? nope.

I have gotten a load of laundry in, taken the dog out to the yard and got myself set up in my chair with my lunch and the computer and NOW he asked me if he can drive there (I have to go with) instead of walking the like 9 blocks. UM NO.

I'm waiting to hear back from neighbors about going on a field trip for good inexpensive steak tonight. I just made deadline on a major project goal, so I am inclined to reward myself with or without company.

I want a decent cheeseburger. But it's Friday night of a holiday weekend. Cheeseburger for lunch tomorrow.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Steph, I'm sorry it's so hard. Dementia is heart-breaking as well as mind-breaking.

tommyrot, here's hoping you find a good new job soon.

flea, what a horrible situation.
