(You know I care because I made sure the 'f' was in there before posting. YOU'RE WELCOME, AMERICA.)
Hahahahh, thank you. They may also need a shit though.
I am having a hard time conceiving that I need to make plans for next weekend (I'm traveling) because getting past Tuesday seems crazy. I'm having folks over, so I'll at least be amongst friends.
I did get added to the pantsuit group and now it's my entire newsfeed. But I don't want to turn it off--hopefully no one has big important posts between now and Tuesday!
And the Virginia Democrats texted me, now! I'm like "Guys. I haven't lived there in FOURTEEN YEARS. I'm against purging the voter rolls too much, but Jesus..."
I just checked the voter registration database, and I'm still registered to vote in New Jersey. I've re-registered in two other states since the last time I lived there. I got a thing in the mail from the state of Pennsylvania telling me that they were taking me off the voting rolls, but I guess I never did anything to officially leave New Jersey -- didn't cancel any utilities, didn't have my mail forwarded, didn't do any of that, since my parents are still living there.
Although, according to the PA website, I'm still registered there, too.
Which doesn't curb my anxiety about this election, because:
1. It should be a landslide. America needs Trump and his hate-based campaign to be buried in a landslide.
It *should* be a landslide, but I'm fine with any victory at all, even if it's not a landslide.
Dana I'm walking away from that I promise.
Actually I'm reading Pantssuit Nation again and feeling happy.
I have no pantsuit bit I'm going to dress up a bit.
And tonight I've let myself believe bit she can win.
Although, according to the PA website, I'm still registered there, too.
This kind of thing makes me feel marginally better about the idea that so many REGISTERED voters don't vote! I mean, crazy enough that some people aren't registered to vote. But if you ARE, and don't vote...I just don't get it. Sure, maybe in your random primary or local election you're too busy (though with voting by mail here, there's really no reason), but in big elections???
I think my brother stayed on the registration it's in FL for a decade.
I need this election to be over, because right now I'm coping by eating my feelings, only I think I'd need to eat the equivalent of a space whale to really comfort me right now. And, like, my body cannot contain a space whale, y'all.
Shoot, I just remembered that I have a meeting I can't miss on Tuesday. Better choose another day to work from home and run all the errands...
I am pretty far from being done with the cleaning I hoped to get through, but I'm tired and the garbage cans are down to the curb so I think I'm stopping now. I did get quite a bit accomplished, approximately infinitely more than last weekend.
There are so many leaves out front. And I know my neighbor did a round while I was swimming. And it's all the maples, lindens are still holding out.
And I had a fast swim, which is surprising because after raking or vacuuming, I usually have a slow one.
I just had a momentary freak out that Loki had a bald spot. No, just Pumpkin's pale paw stuffed into his fur. I think they're ready for me to turn on the heat.
