"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The wakeup light plays sounds or radio after a while.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

If you're going to be earwormed, as I have been for a few days, it's nice that it's a rotation of Not Ready to Make Nice, Holy Shit, You've Got to Vote, and Seriously.

Only bad thing about drop-off ballot early voting is no "I Voted" stickers to wear.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sunday at the con. Tired.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I will be wearing pants...because I do everyday. But, I can't fit into my last pantsuit and I don't ever wear white, so I own now white clothing.

I do have some white underwear I could wear.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just ordered a Nanoleaf Gem bulb so that I can see how well it dims. If the curve from 0-10% is smooth it could be acceptable for theatrical use.

I also just purchased a Phillips wake-up light that I'll pick up later today.

I just need to keep my house clean until Tuesday. We have a cleaning lady come once a month, and she came Friday morning. And I have at least a dozen people coming on Tuesday night for election watching...

Also, my friend finally came clean to me about her lady drama. Which is highly dramatic OMG. She's been kind of AWOL the past couple months and I thought she was mad at me. But no, she had just been trying to hide her secret girlfriend. Ugh. Which everyone was gossiping about ANYWAY. But apparently it's now all become a complete shitshow, because M1 was dating M2. And then A became friends with M1. And moved in for a month while she was between apartments. And at SOME point, M1 and A started dating. And M1 broke up with M2 (...I didn't ask details of that timeline). I knew about M1 and M2 breaking up, but the M1/A thing was on the DL. BUT apparently at some point A dumped M1....and started dating M2!!!!!! Secretly, of course. But now it's all drama and lies and hurt feelings and I'm just like "jesus people there are other fish in the sea"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are there, though?

(Yes, there are.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm wearing a pantsuit Tuesday, although I've already voted. Also, there's a "secret" FB group called Pantsuit Nation for Hillary supporters who want to post about it without stirring up family strife. If anyone's a FB friend and wants in, let me know. The posts are nice. Among other things, it's how I learned that 1980 Independent presidential candidate John Anderson is a) still alive and b) campaigning for HRC.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I still want to know how Princeton Consortium has HRC's odds at >99%, while 538 has them at 65%. I know that Nate Silver has kind of lost it, but that's such a HUGE difference. (And I'm going with Princeton Consortium.)
