Hey, Debet, do you have other news to share with the group? You said trifecta, right??

I was wondering the same thing.
Remember how earlier this week I mentioned getting yanked off a project? Well, today, the professor on another project treated me, the instructional designer, and the video guy to bubbly and Chinese food to thank us for our awesome work. I'm getting career feedback whiplash. Still, I guess it's better to start on the bad note and end on a good one.
Ha! No. We're looking at "dog" as substitute 3rd. But we're planning to attempt sprogging pretty soon pst-wedding, so we didn't want to be dealing with moving then.
You guys...I don't enjoy Judge Judy any more. I'm a little sad.
I took the car in to see why it decided to have the Gen light pop on coming home last night, but apparently the car just wanted to visit with its friends at the repair shop. Everything is working as it should. This did, however, confirm my decision to get a car twenty years younger than the Jeep. The manager of the shop nodded approvingly at my plan of getting a late model Impreza and said "You deserve to have a nice car." (Which would be reassuringly dad-like, except he's not much older than I am and lost his wife not long after I lost Hubby. I don't think it's flirty, just "She understands, she is sympathetic, I know how hard it is, too.")

Fair enough! And good luck to you!!!

Very smart. We were already married but found out I was pregnant on the day our first house closed. Then we got a puppy while I was pregnant.
Your plan makes MUCH more sense.
Therapy today. My melancholia on display led to discussions of self-care. Thing is I think I do a lot in that area and anymore requires more work than I might have the energy to manage.
- manicures every other week
- gym at least twice a week
- taking meds
- cooking more than eating out (better food/smarter financially/activity)
- going out to activities on regular basis ( this weekend is all day music fair)
That seems like a lot to me.
Shopping is not good self care and I have stopped that since it leads to long term shame spiral of debt.
My self care lately has been signing up for this running program (because otherwise I wouldn't get my ass to the gym/in motion), and lots of what we've been calling "family dinner", which a few friends and I have been doing lately--meeting at someone's house to hang out and cooking dinner there rather than going out. Those do usually involve a lot of wine though
