No problem! Now back to work for me...

As the clock ticked to the top of the hour, one of my co-workers started singing "It's the Final Countdown!", and another co-worker on the other side of the wall came in with the guitar riff.

And a mass exodus of the people who are off at 5 heads to the door.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Oh, goodie. I'm fighting another cold.

I can't even have one fucking week without computer infrastructure fail. Network went out and unrelatedly, looks like someone fucked up our ops system yesterday. I'm tired.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We're not just our little group, we're the whole fandom.

Dispute! Dispute!

Scrappy! This Old House just started a run on a house in Detroit, and one of the partners that showed up made me think of you guys : [link]

I don't like all the carpet in the current houses (whyyyyy...I'm actually grossed out by the thought of wall to wall, ever) and I have all sorts of other issues with the genericness introduced by rehabs of old properties (which is why my formerly slumlord owned, minimal rehab house was perfect for me) but the project is cool. And the quality looks decent, bones wise.

I'm watching a video of a geek getting his nerdgasm on over a brand new in box IBM PC from 1988. And I'm having weird anxiety flashbacks to trying to figure out how to support these computers. So odd.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Here's that show I was working on last summer. [link] Those bottle walls have half a mile of LED tape built into them by my crew.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Connie, thank you for posting that link to the Avengers cast appreciation thread... it's salving my aches and pains these last few days.
