now the insurance company has denied one of husband's meds (that he's been on for years) because they want him to try something else (presumably cheaper).
Can his doctor appeal it? Mine had to do that last year.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yeah, I think so. It looks like the drug they're suggesting may not be suitable, due to a side affect. But we've been trying to get this prescription filled for almost a month. It's so exhausting to keep calling the doctor, then the insurance company, then the doctor again, ad nauseam.
Okay, the doctor says the switch will be okay. I feel like we're letting the assholes win, but I suppose it's more important that he get his medication.
I just can't believe these guys are worse than Aetna.
woohoo, Debet!!!
We had our St Pats nonsense last weekend with the parade and greening of the river. I hope today isn't a repeat.
I saw a joke about the NCAA involving a contest over the existence of a state. Kentucky vs No Kentucky.
I'm spending my weekend trying to light a dance show with circus people. I've learned that circus people do not understand scheduling a space for performances. I will have to set up and tear down all the gear for each rehearsal and performance in half an hour or less. You wanted specials? Not happening.
Fucking capitalism.
Indeed.
Congratulations, debetesse!
I dragged myself out of bed for a relatively early and short run, and now I'm eating breakfast and waiting for my financial advisor to stop by and tell me what to do to avoid losing all my retirement when the economy inevitably crashes because of Trump. But in more cheerful news, later I will go pick up wine from my favorite winery. And maaaaybe test drive a car. We'll see.
Yay, Debet! So happy to see your news!!
Awesome, Brenda! I am looking forward to the travel updates and pictures.
DH is in NCAA heaven for the moment because he got 100% on his first round. I didn't do my brackets this year.
I'll probably do something this weekend for the anniversary. Tonight the family will get corned beef and cabbage. I'll skip the beefy part for myself. I'm trying to pull myself out of a funk because I always talked to my mom first thing in the morning on St. Patty's day, and you would think that Thanksgiving or Christmas would have hit me, but no, it is much worse today.

Fun! What kind of car?

Ha! That's the one.
Congratulations, Debet!
Brenda, safe travels, and I want to hear all about it when you get back!
I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend, aside from doing yoga and catching up on my Stanford class. I've totally failed at doing coursework this week.
I'm off to Tahoe super early Monday morning and I've never been, so that should be exciting.
