If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

We're car-shopping too right now, and have more or less decided that what we really want is another red Subaru Forester. (I kept looking for other biggish family cars and every one that I liked, the thing I liked about it was how much like our old Subaru it was!) They're slightly more expensive than a Toyota or Honda would be, but I know from experience that they last just this side of forever and they are RIDONKULOUSLY safe.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Kalshane, have you been looking at TruCar? That is how I plan to find my next car.

We found ours by using TrueCar. SUPER helpful with prices and such.

Coding and Sleeping

I really like AutoTrader for looking at used cars. I just set my filters pretty broad and look over a whole bunch of cars just to get an idea of the current market, then I can cherry pick the ones that look like good deals.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I went ahead and signed up for my next course at Stanford. I'm starting to look at internal postings and trying to figure out how to create more high profile work for myself, but I'm struggling to give a shit.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

So, I just signed up to be a poll greeter on election day (early morning shift) and now I'm nervous. Tell me I'm not going to be shot by a Trump supporter.

You won't be shot. Odds are one or more people will tell you you are going to hell, though. Sorry. It's great that you're doing it. I was a poll greeter here four years ago and had a great time.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Kalshane, have you been looking at TruCar? That is how I plan to find my next car. I am looking a hybrids though.

I've been looking at TrueCar and CarGurus. Both have a very similar setup (to the point the latter might be piggybacking off the former.) CarGurus used to actually compile from multiple car search sites, but I don't think it does that anymore.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

You've never drunk rum?! Dang girl. I def recommend a dark rum. Caribbean. But Jamaican vs Hatian vs wherever else, no idea. I mean, I also like a spiced rum, but that's not purist of me.

Appleton Estate is what ita would have told you to drink.

I have no friends who are voting for Trump. A few who are voting for Johnson, but they're predictably L voters and I tend to just shake my head and wonder what the world looks like in their heads.

But, if I had friends who were Trump voters, they would no longer be friends. I cannot be friends with someone who would support someone like that.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I just stress-ordered a bunch of fancy chocolate. Assorted milk and dark chocolate bars of rose with candied mint, orchid, lilac, and geranium. This totally makes me a rational grown-up, yep.

But, if I had friends who were Trump voters, they would no longer be friends. I cannot be friends with someone who would support someone like that.

Since we've been back from the UK, I've been trying to get in the habit of looking at FB. Because I am a semi-public figure, there are a lot of people I'd accepted friends requests from who I don't know. As the random FB algorithm shows me Trump supporters in my feed, I unfriend them. I just can't. I don't need that even randomly in my social media stream.

Mine are relatives. And this one former teacher of mine who I usually interact with over STEM and women stuff and I can.not figure out why she was a Carson supporter and now Trump. But then, she and her husband got divorced for tax reasons, and then blamed Obama for the divorce. Um, she's a kook and I'm just staring at a trainwreck.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Hyundai Sonatas hold up pretty well too and they depreciate enough to have good used prices.

Kia Optima is pretty much the same car. I've taken mine from 60k miles to 140k miles in seven years, and it has held up very well. At the time I bought it, comparable Fords, Toyotas, and Hondas were all about 1/3 more expensive than what I paid for the Kia.
