Timelies all!
Today has been a day for Mr. S getting lots of food on himself. The sippy cup I put his milk in leaked at the seal, so much milk went down his front. Then I gave him a squeezy pouch of yogurt, most of which he squeezed on to his vest. Sigh....
Working with nerds: "Take a gander at this, salamander."
Work today is a nibbled to death by very large ducks sort of day. And the new boss I report to starts next week. I'm know that my current boss (who New!Boss will report to) is going to tell her to leave me alone for the next few months of deadline hell and concentrate on the CPH side of the team, but I'm still a little anxious.
Cereal: and I think I need to nope the hell out of Twitter and give up on FB until after Tuesday. It's just making me twitchy and worried.
So, I just signed up to be a poll greeter on election day (early morning shift) and now I'm nervous. Tell me I'm not going to be shot by a Trump supporter.
My brother is a long-time resident of your county, and a very vocal Democrat, and he feels pretty confident that things will be pretty civilized there on election day. Can't speak for the rest of NC, though.
Now I want the Jamaican Rum Cake my friend's mom used to make every year. Stuff weighed a ton and was so rich. I need to ask him to get her recipe. They moved back to Jamaica so I won't be having any this year.
This is a good online place to be right now. Otherwise I'm just going to keep the Rachel Bloom vid (thanks for linking, Dana) on loop till the 10th, that okay with everybody?
msbelle, sending lots of ~ma to your dad.

I knew I forgot to respond to something! You will not be shot by a Trump supporter, Glam. I feel certain that they are not early to rise, early to the polls people, for one thing.
And good for you engaging with the community in such a civic-minded way!
Kalshane, have you been looking at TruCar? That is how I plan to find my next car. I am looking a hybrids though.
We're car-shopping too right now, and have more or less decided that what we really want is another red Subaru Forester. (I kept looking for other biggish family cars and every one that I liked, the thing I liked about it was how much like our old Subaru it was!) They're slightly more expensive than a Toyota or Honda would be, but I know from experience that they last just this side of forever and they are RIDONKULOUSLY safe.
