Prior to computers I cut out little pieces of furniture to scale on paper.
I do floor plan drawings on graph paper. Haven't figured out how to use these new-fangled computer programs yet, although I'd like to. I think I even own one or two, just haven't, you know, figured them out.
Yay raise! Boo tornados! Yay people being safe after the tornados!
Wow, Sophia!
I kiddingly said I'd have to call in sick today when we were standing in the drizzle during the fire drill yesterday, and now I feel terrible. Stupid karma. What did I ever do to it?
In better me news, the DVD of the movie of the first book of the Louise Penny series I'm currently obsessed with is waiting for me at the library.
That looks really cool, Gudanov!
I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to handle the whole healthcare debate again.
For whatever reason, though the dashboard says it was paid, my UI check for last week hasn't arrived yet.
I'm hoping the check for this week actually arrives in a timely fashion and trying to figure out what the hell to do about a missing check.
Meanwhile, I'm supposed to be scheduled for additional phone interviews for a job, but the HR person has yet to get back to me with the when and I can't schedule anything until those are scheduled because I told them I was open for the next two weeks.
I'm failing to Natter because I feel like all I'll be doing is whining and I do enough of that on Facebook.
Mothertrucker. I just realized that I'll have to file in at least 2 states for YEARS because of the way states tax equity.
I have an annoying author who keeps answering a question I didn't ask, while NOT answering the question I REALLY need the answer to. It would be like if I asked "What temperature do you set your thermostat at when you go to bed?" and the person responded "The temperature in the house is 68 degrees right now (1:30 p.m.), but in the summer can rise to as high as 77 degrees." DUDE. FRIENDO. How are you not comprehending the words I am asking?
I haven't been nattering because I'm in Copenhagen for work right now, and linear time has lost all meaning for me thanks to time zone nonsense and sleep deprivation.
On the plus side, I'm back in the land where not only is chocolate on bread is a perfectly normal snack, but my office provides the chocolate wafers and bread.
I mean, I recognize equity is a good problem to have. I'm just done with being an adult this week.
In better me news, the DVD of the movie of the first book of the Louise Penny series I'm currently obsessed with is waiting for me at the library.
Wait, does Louise Penny have more than one series? Because I'm pretty sure my mother will FLIP OUT when I tell her there's a movie about Inspector Gamache.
