I intended to get up around 5am to get an early shuttle, but I decided to fuck that noise when my alarm went off and decided to take the meeting from home. And then my meeting got rescheduled, so I had time to drop a book off at the library and catch the 8:30am shuttle.

Where has all the Nattering gone?

Thanks! I love playing with that kind of stuff.
I just bookmarked the SweetHome thingie. I'm thinking of rearranging my apartment.
I got a raise! Nearly a dollar an hour! Which, when totaled up, is not nearly as impressive but is always better than a kick in the head and much, much better than "We're giving you a .25 an hour raise!"

Over the course of a year, it is. That's great! Congratulations!
Hello all!
I have not been nattering because I have been in tech rehearsal hell for a week, and then I got sick!
We lost so much time at rehearsal because the stage was raked to a sharp degree, there was water and fake blood and a pool on the stage, and the actors kept falling down the stage into the pool! So much blood. So much water. SO many bruises and towels and laundry! I wish I had photos to show you this set.
I am far too old and out of shape to do 7 days in a row of 15 hour days, all on my feet!
Congrats, Connie!
Also yay Connie! I now have Seven and a Half Cents from Pajama Game in my head [link]
Congrats, Connie!
Those renderings are very cool, Gud. I'm still mad about the time I moved and bought a bunch of furniture and my boyfriend at the time was in interior design school, and he helped me NOT AT ALL. (In his defense, design is not the same as decorating, but still! He had resources and probably a better visual sense than me.)

That sounds incredible.
Back when I was in college, we did a production of a play in the courtyard of our old library. It had a ramp various actors were supposed to run up ... but it was a little too steep. The actors kept slipping. Much cursing ensued and no few bruises. For some reason, the ramp couldn't be flattened out. So someone had the bright idea of sprinkling laundry detergent on it (it was painted white, so that was one of the few things we could get that wouldn't show up).
Then it rained.
And we had suds running down the ramp. Killed some of the grass.
I don't remember how it was eventually solved, although I'm pretty sure it was. The play was performed with minimal incidents.
