Too much of that house is just plain overwhelming. To where the oh nice moments are drowned out by the Yikes moments.

Yeah, there's some beautiful woodwork but the kitchen & the bathrooms are unbearable.

I would lose the geisha dishwasher and I'm not crazy about the marble (or marbled tile or whatever that is) but otherwise I love it.

Tried to get back to my evening yoga routine. Oh, boy, am I out of practice.

I was digging through my comics boxes, bemused at the amount of Batman, X-Men, and other mid-90s comics, when I pulled out a bag of separately packaged comics. It's the '70s era run of Star Wars. I thought I sold those to make rent nearly 30 years ago. Depending on what condition they're in, that's a few hundred dollars there. I'm not going to go through the pain of formal grading, that's more grief than I want to go through. Unfortunately, the other comics from my youth have been well-loved and read, and they're not the kind that can transcend loving and reading.

I could work with that house! (Would also cover the dishwasher ASAP....) If nothing else, I'm glad to see when people do work to their actual taste and not just generic popular styles.

Took Mr. S for a haircut. Have now put him in the crib to nap. He's not happy about it.

Ugh, I'm so mad at people on Say Yes to the Dress who don't want a white gown that I am now looking at multi-thousand dollar gowns at Neiman-Marcus so I can somehow shove links through the tv at them.

Jesse I always get frustrated at the women who are super picky but have such a short time frame they have to take whatever is available. "I don't think I'm going to find my dream dress!!!" well it's 6 weeks before your wedding so probably not.

After my epic meltdown last year I've decided to not really give a shit.

This is where I'm at. Nobody at work "saw" me melting down, but it did affect my work performance, and I learned, among other things, that doing my job well enough is good enough, perfection is not in fact required, and I need to fucking relax and start some fucking hobbies or some shit, or I'm gonna lose my mind again. Getting my life and my sanity back is way more important to me than getting the biggest raise and bonus possible.

In other related Me news, the Effexor is working. I'm not nearly so depressed and anxious anymore. It's frightening to look back on how I felt most of last year; I can't believe it took me so long to go get help.
