Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

No Employee Appreciation Day here. Of course, I work for the federal government, so take that as you will. (Also not getting a raise this year despite getting a good review so far, but that's how it goes.)

No appreciation.

I got to go up to Mac's school today because he skipped two classes. Now he has Sat detention and no wireless for the weekend. This is on top of failing two classes for the trimester. And he gave me attitude at the school. No sir, not today Satan.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Mac.

As you know, Bob, I drive home past a cow pasture. Today there was one cow grazing nearish the road, by herself in the sense that the other cows were further away, but encircled by a flock of blackbirds that certainly appeared to be gazing at her adoringly. Whatever was actually going on there, it looked pretty good for everyone involved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's amazing, -t. Sounds like it should be a meme.

Maaaac.

the kid is only hurting himself. it is frustrating, but I am the last person he will listen to about stuff like this. He could EASILY have Bs and a TON of freedom, but he refuses to do anywork and makes everything a fight.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

When you speak to him about it, what does he say?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My guess would be some kind of a grunt.

yes grunting.

then he will become belligerent. Lots of telling me I know nothing and just want to boss him around and I don't do shit and he is just going to leave. School is stupid.

Headphones will go in or music will be put on speakers blasting.

He might just start yelling and cursing at me. He will storm out of the house and/or stomp around room to room.

What are the odds that he could get a job?
