Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What are the odds that he could get a job?

very low until he is 16. that is only a month and a half away. Then there is the motivation to do it.

I think he might get a job and then will get fired.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Oh, Mac. He is in for an eye-opening surprise when he gets out in the world and discovers no one else will have a fraction of the patience with him that you do.

He doesn't act like he does with me to anyone else.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know this is the cliche, but I think it's true, that having more to do can make people get their shit together, and also seeing why graduating is important, since I'm guessing he won't be interested in the kind of job he can get now forever.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

First of all, steroids are magic. Both my head and my back are so much better, and I'd like to thank my body for having two problems that can be solved by the same thing.

But thanks to the steroids, I am flushed and hot, and I am starving. This part is less fun.

He left his drivers ed class before I got there to pick him up. Would not respond to texts or answer the phone. I did a find his phone and located him, but in the meantime he had walked from there home where he is now locked out and texting that he does not "give 2 shits" if I come home.

So the grounding is starting off great.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This whole thing where we humans have to learn every damn thing the hard way and are such assholes to the people who we feel safest with because we feel safe enough, it's a terrible system.

Intelligent design my foot.

we're both home and he chose playing his music loudly. I plan to get myself to bed here pretty soon before he gets bored with that. Thank goodness for longplay soundscape recordings and headphones I can sleep in.

And people think I should try to date.
