Dana, you may be experiencing what is known in Texas as "cedar fever", which is named after the "mountain cedar" which is actually a juniper. According to pollen.com, juniper pollen is high to medium-high in the Dallas area at the moment.

Neat, Dana! And Suzi! Other than the health woes, of course.
One of my coworkers is allergic to monkeys, she was told after a bad reaction after a childhood visit to the zoo. So I guess you could get tested for cheetah antibodies, theoretically.
2017, The Year if the Unprecedented? I do not know how to feel about that. Of course, I didn't watch the Super Bowl or the Oscars, so not my unprecedented circuses.
Allergic to monkeys and llamas? My stars!
::checks medical record:: Yup, Mountain Juniper is one of mine. I do love having my test results available on my phone, it's not like I can just remember these things.
Yeah, there's been plenty of complaining around here about the juniper. I do have various allergies, including actual cedar, but I'd have thought it would already be bothering me. On the other hand, I spent five hours outside yesterday.
Or maybe it's the continual yo-yo fun between the 40s and the 80s. We've generally been able to get away with not needing A/C, which is great for the electricity bill, but it starts to make me feel schizophrenic.
That Texas Monthly article is hilariously resentful.
I have problems with eating lobster - nothing major, but if I try to eat any quantity (i.e., I can have shrimp with lobster sauce, but not lobster with any other kind of sauce) it leave me with a bad stomach ache.
Possibly one of the most first-world problems ever ... but I console myself with the thought that it leaves my share of lobster for those who want to eat it and can.
I imagine the swings in temperature have been accompanied by pressure fluctuations, which always make my minor congestion issues more major.
And, of course, the plants are having an early orgy, with pollen floating everywhere.
Timelies all!
We have a Random Daffodil on our front lawn. Not sure how it got there, considering we had the lawn re-sodded last fall.(Long story short, there was a giant tree in our front yard. It was diagnosed with Ash Borer disease, cut down and completely removed. We decided to re-sod the lawn after that.)
Okay. Here's a dilemma: I made a King Cake to take in to work tomorrow, but cannot find the plastic babies I thought I had. How wrong would it be to substitute a tiny plastic velociraptor?
