What a story, JZ! And I'm glad to hear the town hall went well.
I have run out of books* and am switching to individual comics. Soon I will have to make a lateral move to magazines full of short stories.
Perhaps a cup of tea is in order.
'*In this particular series [Rivers of London - The Hanging Tree had references to stuff that happened earlier in the series and when I went back to reread I realized I had forgotten an awful lot, so, re-reading the whole thing in the hopes that some of it will accumulate rather than falling out of my brain entirely]. I don't think running out of books entirely is possible for me at this point. Even if I broke my glasses I have a pretty sizable stockpile of audiobooks to hold me over.
We bought a new TV today (65"! It is comically large in this tiny apartment!) and got so distracted by 4K Netflix goodness that I forgot to make dinner and now I 100% cannot be bothered. Ordered pizza, only to realize we have no idea how to let someone into this building, so now we're gonna just lurk awkwardly downstairs.
Your tv is bigger than me. Good luck with the pizza gathering
That sounds like a lovely way to spend an afternoon, Connie.
The new meds are doing wonders for my sinus infection. I can sort of see why people stop taking their antibiotics too soon, as I suspect I won't feel I need them by Monday. (I'll keep taking them, no worries.)
Glad you're feeling better, Calli! I am a fan of the kind of illnesses that antibiotics can actually fix.
My mother's church is doing a program at a local mosque today and she wanted me to go, but I just can't. I'm interested in doing it, but I am still so wiped out from my week at work! I can't bear the thought of being social with all of those people and also learning new things. I feel sort of pathetic, but no. I will stay here and do housework alone.
So, we've definitely decided that we are going to move. Ann Arbor area, here we come! We have to work out a timeline and everything, but I've very excited. It is not public knowledge.
Wow, that's exciting!
I have just burned out my mother's shredder dealing with lots and lots of old paperwork, so I feel better and hope the shredder does soon.
Exciting Scrappy!! Though sad I'm even less likely to see you in person!
Jesse that's understandable.
Me, I went to karaoke last night but made good choices and didn't drink too much or stay out too late. So now I'm at breakfast movie, I'm going to see "Lion".
One thing I love about Sundays is standing in my bathrobe, watching the heavy cold rain come down as people in their good clothes scamper unhappily to their cars as they head off to three hours of church.
Ah, and there's someone honking impatiently. I think I'll go leisurely put on outside clothes and wander off to the store. In a bit.
