Timelies all!
We've had flurries a few times, but nothing that stuck.
Gary and I are going to see one of our favorite Celtic musicians tonight.(Beth Patterson, whom we haven't seen in a while) One of our friends offered to babysit Mr. S for us, and we took her up on her offer when we saw the concert listing. Whee!
On the one hand, we'll probably have a snow day. On the other hand, fuck snow.
For real, though. I'm supposed to start my new job tomorrow! I'm assuming it won't be so bad here, but we'll see.
Yep, it cracked 80 here today. 80 is at the top of my comfort zone, which doesn't bode well for July. Maybe I'll have found a more northerly job by then.
It's 82 here. Which is bananas.
I've usually found warm winters lead to mild summers, but this is kind of new territory.
Oh, I love Beth Patterson. I used to go see her at O'Flaherty's pub in New Orleans. She's come to DragonCon a few times too.
Well they've preemptively cancelled bus service, so I am having a snowday tomorrow. It's now a matter of whether I have to use a vacation day or not.
Some of you saw that I posted on FB that my neighbor's house had an estate sale going on. I had no idea what happened, I had only met this guy once in 6 years. Well today I went over and asked. He died in Aug!!!
So having already proven to his son and daughter-in-law to be an un-neighborly neighbor, I went through the house as one does. Totally different layout than my house and about 100 sq ft smaller. It has a pool which I had forgotten about.
They aren't sure if they are going to rent it or sell it, but it will be a couple of months before they do either. I gave them my # in case they need anything since they live 45 min away at least.
Well, that was nice, anyway! (Nice of you, I mean.)
