Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

A Buffista escape room would be a hell of a good time.

I question the length of time we'd remain in there. I mean, sure, the moment we put our spicy brains to the task of solving the puzzle, we'd be out in two minutes. But how long would we simply be talking and loving on each other and having a lovely time concentrating on everything but getting out? Not that that is a bad thing...

It's a bit like Sammie being under the sheet when I'm making the bed. I once read a pulp magazine article that talked about putting a dog or cat under a blanket to see how long it took for them to find a way out as a quick and dirty intelligence test. You put a sheet over Sammie, and she plays "monster under the covers" for a quite a while. Mind you, in any given day, if I am making my bed, there is a 75% chance that I am doing so not because I give a rat's behind about neatness but because it entertains Sammie. Once she's done playing, she gets out quick.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So apparently Netflix is doing a tv series version of Dear White People, and the Pepe brigade is not taking it well. Oy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, as usual, dear.

Today was a paperwork day for me, so there were two direct care staff on duty. One was a middle-aged white woman; the other a young Somali woman. Guess who cheered the loudest when whatever 5 o'clock news they were watching announced the higher court decision on the travel ban?

I love it that my people have each other's backs.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Had a good night out with my bestie. Though the movie...well, nothing needs to be said about that. But good food, good drinks, an amazing cupcake, and great company.

Came home to find that my daughter stopped at our Persian restaurant to bring me some saffron ice cream. I guess ice cream to go is not a usual request so they had to get approval from a manager, but I have quite the treat waiting for me (too full tonight). If you ever have the opportunity to try saffron ice cream. Do it. Seriously. I woouy;dnt steer you wrong.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It's no Grey Gardens, but there's a very affordable mansion for sale in Nova Scotia. [link]

I'm in love with the sun room. I'll just note that I can do electrical work and carpentry. NSM plumbing.

One of the events in Chicago this weekend involves mooning the T tower.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Man, I want that house real bad now.

Aurelia you are welcome to come to my house and do electrical and carpentry.

I had friends over for dinner. Five of us and we drank I think 4.5 bottles of wine plus my roommate then came home and we broke open the whiskey. I will regret this in the morning

Also someone stole the skunk trap? I hope it already had a skunk in it. They deserve that.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

I don't drive and it's not commutable otherwise and I'd have to live there to afford it
