Where is everyone? Why so quiet??
I mean, I super don't want to be awake right now but I have a teleconference in 15 minutes. Lately it's been cold but sunny here, and then this morning back to super dark and gloomy. Boo.

I know, it's spooky.
keep going, aurelia! Who knows how long your run could be?
So Buffistas, I need advice. At some point between arriving home last night at 10PM and getting up this morning there was an accident in the street in front of my house. I have pieces of car on the sidewalk in front of my house.
What do I do? They're all far too big to put in my garbage bin.
Also, the skunk trap I arranged for has captured one of the neighborhood cats. This is not optimal.
Call the non-emergency number for the police? Find out if they are aware of the accident and who is responsible for cleaning it up?
One of my co-workers recently caught an unhappy raccoon in a skunk trap. They seem to be better at catching things other than skunks.

Can you call your trash department for a litter/large item pickup? When people just dump trash, we can report it and the trash department will pick it up, and/or if we have something large (car tires, sketchy couch), we can schedule a pickup for that, too. Maybe big pieces of car qualify for one of those options, if your trash department does that.
Are you in Oakland? I can't remember. They have "bulky item pick-up": [link]
There was an accident bad enough to leave pieces of car but they didn't take them? Wow
Work is frustrating today. I had a school assignment due yesterday that I didn't get in. I haven't even started on it. I did laundry two days ago and still haven't folded and put it away (I didn't used to care but now it BUGS me). My birthday is next week and we booked an Escape Room but so far I only have 6 of the 8 slots filled. People who said they wanted to do it have flaked and I'm running out of people to invite. Oh, and I'm also anxious about the Denver Comic Con job I applied for - the application period doesn't end until the 10th, so it is just a wait and see thing. But I kinda really want the job. I want to get started because there is a lot I need to learn to get up to speed. Plus I still have my regular job AND school to balance if I do get the job.
Sorry, total brain dump there.
I echo the suggestion to call the non-emergency line.
Although now I am thinking I should possibly file for a real name change because all my recent things are N____ Brooks T_____ and my childhood things are N_____ Marie T______, because I informally changed my middle name.
I think I should do the same. I've been going by my middle name since college, I even file my taxes as E__ L. S__, but my driver's license is in my birth name L__ E. S___. It's been confusing people for years. I should just change it legally.

And no one was hurt enough to call an ambulance? Yeah, I'd call the non-emergency police number.
