US Marshalls enforce Federal Judicial orders. I don't think we want to see an armed stand off between US Marshalls and Dept. of Homeland Security officers.
But I think mostly, Trump's order was so ill written, and poorly conceived, and uncommunicated that it has caused complete chaos as to what various agencies should do.
So, Bannon, is basically Wormtonguing away at Trump and pushed this order out. And Bannon - who avowedly wants to destroy the entire government - is probably enjoying the chaos.
OK, don't want an armed standoff, but how about a jurisdictional dispute where the DHS backs the hell off like sensible people? Can we hope for that? All of Homeland Security can't be batshit crazy.

As a resident of Utah, I can tell you "No." His only saving grace is that he called Teddy Kennedy a friend, and he's not a zealot. However, he is happy to be persuaded to things and he's old.

I postponed a meeting so people on my team can go to a protest tomorrow if they choose. I also decided I should work from home because I finally figured out that I'm not fighting off a cold but the flu. It's mild, but I'm still sleeping something like 12 hours a day and I don't want to infect others.
