Wow, Scrappy, how exciting!
Also curious about armoring the house.
I filled up the outside garbage can and took a nap. And I'm patting myself on the back for it.
Health~ma, aurelia. I used to get flat-Sprite for an upset stomach, for the sugar. Maybe sweeten up your tea. Honey's always good fur curing whatever, right?
Much closer to what I was picturing than I expected!
I don't blame your husband, Scrappy. Moving is a pain in the ass. I've done it three times in the last eight years, and that is fucking plenty for me.
Just discovered that there's a municipality where we live that doesn't have a smoking ban. We discovered this by walking into a place where one smoking table was stinking up the whole place, and every other table was unhappy.
Shit. Big protest, 3 blocks from my home. I fucking hate crowds, but I guess I have to go protest now. It's important. [link]
Crowd~ma, Tom. And I wish I could be there with you; I hate crowds, too, but you're right -- this is important.
Kal Penn started a fundraising campaign for Syrian refugees in the name of someone who posted to his Twitter feed that Penn didn't belong in America. Donations go to the International Rescue Committee and are over $80,000 in less than a day.
Every so often I like to return to the Blue Feed, Red Feed link to see how conservatives might be looking at issues differently than liberals.

Crowd size still seems like a big issue. Also, I forget that a lot of people just fucking hate liberals. I kinda get that. From a conservative point of view (well, not the George Will type conservatives) Trump is sort of like the rogue cop that gets results while liberals are the police captain that is trying to hold him back with stupid rules (political norms, facts, etc...) and technicalities (political correctness, environmental protections, etc...).
Thank you, Tom.
Burning up my card with donations and going to rage bake cookies. And not just because Eric at the Y has literally been begging for my oatmeal raisin cookies.
By the time I got there, the judge had already issued a stay, and the crowd was dispersing. The remaining crowd was chanting "We'll be back!".
A federal court has granted a temporary stay for people in transit and currently detained. I feel like I can breathe a little again.
