Kal Penn started a fundraising campaign for Syrian refugees in the name of someone who posted to his Twitter feed that Penn didn't belong in America. Donations go to the International Rescue Committee and are over $80,000 in less than a day.

Coding and Sleeping

Every so often I like to return to the Blue Feed, Red Feed link to see how conservatives might be looking at issues differently than liberals.

Crowd size still seems like a big issue. Also, I forget that a lot of people just fucking hate liberals. I kinda get that. From a conservative point of view (well, not the George Will type conservatives) Trump is sort of like the rogue cop that gets results while liberals are the police captain that is trying to hold him back with stupid rules (political norms, facts, etc...) and technicalities (political correctness, environmental protections, etc...).

Thank you, Tom.

Burning up my card with donations and going to rage bake cookies. And not just because Eric at the Y has literally been begging for my oatmeal raisin cookies.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

By the time I got there, the judge had already issued a stay, and the crowd was dispersing. The remaining crowd was chanting "We'll be back!".

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

A federal court has granted a temporary stay for people in transit and currently detained. I feel like I can breathe a little again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thank you for going, Tom.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And the mosque that burned down in Victoria, which is not that far from where I used to live, has raised $250,000 in 12 hours.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good on you for going, Tom.

In much more minor tragedies, everywhere I went today I ran into someone I know. Which is only tragic in that I really wish I'd washed my hair this morning. More tragic is that I failed to prevent one of those people from buying this coat: [link]

(aurelia please don't click unless you're all the way better.)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sweet Jesus. That's...why? What? Why?

In much more minor tragedies, everywhere I went today I ran into someone I know. Which is only tragic in that I really wish I'd washed my hair this morning.

At the neighborhood swap meet, where I was unshowered and wearing no makeup, with my hair in a ponytail (because I have a damn migraine), we ran into Tim's ex-wife. Like you do.
